Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Minister of Finance, Muhammad Al-Jadaan, revealed the expected benefit of Saudi clubs contracting with players such as Ronaldo and Messi.
“Quality of life is an essential point in Vision 2030. We wanted to make sure that the quality of life in Saudi Arabia has improved, and sports are an important part of that,” Al-Jadaan told CNBC.
He added, “The young segment of Saudi society follows and practices sports, and I believe that everything we do to support this industry will be beneficial in terms of the quality of life for our people and those who work in Saudi Arabia from abroad.”
When asked if he expects the Saudi Public Investment Fund to acquire more European clubs in 2023, Al-Jadaan replied, “I cannot answer matters related to individuals because I am not involved in them, but what I can say is that we want to make sure that our plans are implemented.” On time and on budget which we are doing and we are starting to see results.”
