SAINT-CÉLESTIN. Thursday afternoon, the Minister of Education Jean-François Roberge was passing through Saint-Célestin to visit the new Marquis school in the company of the deputy for Nicolet-Bécancour Donald Martel, the president of the board of directors of the Center de school services of the Riveraine, Josée Paquin, the mayor of Saint-Célestin, Raymond Noël, as well as the director general of the school services center, Pascal Blondin.
It is the future director of the establishment, Chantal Morin, who led the visit and explained the inspirations that led to the different concepts of this school.
“Construction is well advanced,” said MP Donald Martel. The design is very beautiful and the young pupils will find themselves there in a pleasant, harmonious and friendly environment. ”
Remember that the Marquis school will be an inclusive school, with regular and adapted classes. It will welcome the students of Saint-Célestin as well as the students who currently attend the Le Rucher school.
At the start of the next school year, the establishment will welcome nearly 200 students. They will be accompanied by 40 members of staff.
The school is one of three new schools that will be inaugurated in August in Quebec.
