According to The class struggle Among other things, Brenna will give private kindergartens a duty to notify the municipality in the event of a change of ownership and organizational changes.

– We want to give the municipalities greater influence over how the kindergarten offer is designed as a whole, she says.

In addition, the Minister of Education and Research will make the individual kindergartens independent legal entities.

– This means that each kindergarten must present its own accounts, even if the kindergarten is part of a larger group, says Brenna.

The government is also considering banning companies that run daycare centers from operating other types of business, as well as banning private daycare centers from taking out loans from other than banks – so that they cannot borrow from the other businesses.
