Luis Severino has promoted himself as one of the New York Mets’ top pitchers this year and is earning the chance to receive another offer from the Queens team for next season, since he will become a free agent at the end of this season.
It seems that the Mets will have the first say, but there are other teams after the Dominican right-hander and one of the most interested is the Boston Red Sox, a team that needs to renew its rotation.

Severino has a 3.78 ERA this year in 178.0 innings with 156 strikeouts and 59 walks. He has pitched in 30 games for the Mets since leaving the Yankees last year.
He has two career All-Star Games and appears to be in great physical shape to take on a new contract, whether it be for two or three seasons. For Boston, he would be a great addition to the rotation.
