The Milky Way has a mysterious large structure that baffles astronomers

Suara.com – Ke Astronomer Discover the mysterious new massive structure Bima Sakti.

Invited கட்டைல்This system is part of the largest spiral arm of the galaxy, which has not yet been discovered.

This structure has gone unnoticed because it is very difficult to determine the size, content, and three-dimensional structure of the Milky Way.

While this system is not the unnamed spiral arm of the galaxy, Kattil is probably the largest gas fiber in the Milky Way discovered to date.

“This system appears to be the most distant and largest giant fiber in the galaxy,” wrote astronomers at Nanjing University in China.

How such large strands are produced in such galaxies remains a mystery.

There are many reasons why it is difficult to map the Milky Way in three dimensions.

First, it is very difficult to calculate the distance to a cosmic object.

Another reason, there are plenty out there.

To identify the forest, the team led by Chong Li, an astronomer from Nanjing University, used the five-meter spherical aperture radio telescope (FAST) to search for neutral nuclear hydrogen (HI) clouds.

Such clouds are usually found in the rotating arms of galaxies.

By studying the subtle differences in hydrogen light, the number and structure of the Milky Way’s hands can be mapped from within.

Using that data, the experts found that the system has a speed similar to that of about 71,750 light-years from the galaxy.

The distance indicates that the system is enormous, 16,300 light-years long and 675 light-years wide.

If the cot is actually a spiral arm, it raises the question of experts because its shape doesn’t fully conform to the curve of the spindle.
