The milestones of Marlène de Wouters, who turns 60 this week | THIS WEEK IN DAY ALL

BVFormer VTM figurehead Marlène de Wouters may blow out 60 birthday candles on February 18. To reinforce this special event, ‘Day All’ looks back on the most important milestones in the life of the presenter.

The 80’s

Marlène was a talented tennis player. As a child and teenager, she traveled the world on the pro circuit.

1989

1998

Marlène became a broadcaster and one of the leading ladies of VTM. She presented shows and debate programs, such as ‘De Eeuwige Strijd’.

2000

For ‘Marlène Exclusive’ she interviewed world stars such as Dan McVicar, who played Clarke for years in ‘Mooi En Relentless’.

2003

After switching from VTM to SBS, Marlène made the program ‘Huis Op Stelten’ for VT4, in which children were allowed to restyle their homes. Her own children were featured in one of the episodes.

2007

In ‘Stars On The Dance Floor’, with her dance partner Wim Gevaert. She reached the semifinals.

2011

Marlène’s TV appearances have become rarer. In 2011 she took part in ‘Masterchef’ on VTM.

2021-2022

Today, Marlène still regularly presents events. At the European-African summit in Brussels last year, she took a selfie with Prime Minister De Croo in between.
