The City Council of Ronda and the Junta de Andalucía have fulfilled the commitment made with the AMPA of the Miguel de Cervantes school to maintain, for the next school year 2022/2023, the second line intended for three-year-old schoolchildren.
Thus and after a meeting held last May between the representatives of the parents’ association; the mayor, María de la Paz Fernández and the delegate for Education, Ángel Martínez; The commitment was formalized to request the regional administration, which is responsible for education, the rejection of the educational community before the proposal to eliminate one of the two existing lines for Infant students in the center, and more specifically the of three years.
After that, from the local administration itself, a letter was sent to the Provincial Delegation of Education of Malaga in which the negative opinion of the City Council was officially transferred to this possibility, while requesting to reach an understanding and a beneficial conclusion for all parties.
Thus, the head of the Planning and Schooling Service of Malaga has responded to this letter, dated July 27, highlighting that the Delegation will attend to this request, thus allowing the second line of Children to be maintained for the next school year.
“We are very pleased to reach an agreement for all the sectors involved and that satisfies the educational community. From the Government team we were clear that we could reach an understanding, since the Andalusian Government, chaired by Juanma Moreno, has always been very sensitive to Ronda and its proposals”, the mayor of Education has assessed in this regard.
