The Migrant Influx Surges in New York: Political Tensions and Financial Fallout

For several weeks, thousands of migrants have been arriving by bus, or by their own means, on the east coast of the United States, in Washington, but especially in New York. At the origin of these movements, Republican Governor Greg Abbott, who himself decided to send these migrants to the “Big Apple”, quite simply because the city’s mayor, Eric Adams, is a Democrat. As a result, hundreds of asylum seekers are crowding in, hoping to quickly find emergency accommodation. An alarming situation which pushed Eric Adams to declare: “The migrant problem will destroy New York”, even though he is a fervent defender of undocumented people.
