An important and central point in the Mexico Center projectQatar 2002 is the participation of the members of the national guardwhich will be the link with the security, surveillance and control authorities of the State of Qatar.
During the presentation to the Secretary for Foreign Affairs, the Chief Commissioner of the National Guard, Arturo Medina Mayoral, indicated that the Guard will not perform police or security functions, nor can he wear his uniform as in the national territory, and as it did in the previous World Championships.
“The National Guard joins these tasks to protect Mexican fanswhich is one of the most numerous in the 2022 Qatar World Cup. With the pleasure and satisfaction we receivethrough the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the invitation from the Qatari government and its national police and the International Football Association to join the Center for International Cooperation, which will be present in November and December, in addition to 32 nationsrepresenting the teams that will participate in this World Cup ”, commented Medina Mayoral.
