New York’s Metropolitan Opera declared the target of a cyber-attack on Thursday that hampered the functioning of its website, ticket office and call center. His “network problems” started on Thursday.
Concretely, the scheduled performances will take place but orders for new tickets, exchanges and refunds are not possible for the moment, according to Met Opera. The institution in an upscale north Manhattan neighborhood declined to explain the nature of the cyberattack and did not respond to AFP’s inquiries.
The specialized media OperaWire, citing a letter from the director general of the Met Opera Peter Gelb to members of the institute, specifies that an investigation is underway.
