This is one of the main objectives of elected environmentalists: to make Lyon and its metropolitan area a region where life is good.
And there is still work to be done if we are to believe the 2021 prize list of the association of towns and villages where it is good to live, published by the JDD.
No less than 183 criteria were retained, such as transport, safety, leisure or shopping. And with this little game, it is Annecy (Haute-Savoie) which was designated city of more than 2000 inhabitants where one lives best in France. Bayonne and Angers complete the podium. To find the trace of Lyon, you have to go to 56th place, just behind Paris. Villeurbanne is 112th, Bron 144th and Caluire-et-Cuire 176th.
In the classification of villages of less than 2,000 inhabitants, three municipalities of the Metropolis of Lyon are present, but again in poor places. Saint-Romain-au-Mont-d’Or obtained the best position, in 115th place in the standings. The town which houses the Residence of Chaos in particular is ahead of Rochetaillée-sur-Saône (130th) and Fleurieu-sur-Saône (333rd). To believe that the Val de Saône has more coast than the rest of the agglomeration.
