The Merval fell 2.57% and the ADRs of Argentine firms in New York fell to 7.1%

The S&P Merval index fell 2.57% today, affected by the bad business climate on Wall Street, where the main indicators ended with negative results, on a day in which the shares of Argentine companies listed in New York posted losses of up to 7.1%.

In the Buenos Aires square, the declines in the shares that make up the leading panel were led by YPF (-6.2%); Aluar (-5.5%); Transportadora de Gas del Norte (-3.9%); Pampa Energía (-2.5%); and BBVA Argentina (-2.3%).

Meanwhile, the papers that closed with positive numbers were Transener (2.78%); Agrometal (2.33%); Aluar (1.95%); and Loma Negra (0.81%)

On Wall Street, the shares of Argentine companies ended the session with the majority of results in the red, among which YPF (-7.1%) stood out; Transportadora Gas del Sur (-5%); Irsa (-4.3%); Banco Supervielle (-4.1%); and BBVA Argentina (-3.9%).

Sociedad Comercial del Plata closed with positive numbers (2.1%); Ternium (0.4%); and Telecom Argentina (0.3%).

In the fixed income segment, dollar bonds ended with falls of 30 cents on average, while CER-adjusted peso titles were stable.

Within this framework, the country risk fell 0.1% to settle at 2,044 basis points.

In the foreign exchange market, the official dollar closed today with an average price of $206.89, with a rise of 22 cents compared to Monday

In the informal market, the so-called “blue” or informal dollar traded with a drop of one peso, at $371 per unit.

Meanwhile, in the stock segment, the cash dollar with settlement (CCL) registered an advance of 0.9%, to $375.88; while the MEP rose 1.3% to $366.97.

In the wholesale market, the US currency ended with an increase of 34 cents compared to the previous close, at an average of $199.68.

Thus, the dollar with the 30% surcharge -contemplated in the COUNTRY tax-, marked an average of $268.96 per unit, and with the advance on account of the Income Tax of 35% on the purchase of foreign currency, to $341 .37.

Meanwhile, the dollar destined for tourism abroad -and which has a rate of 45%- was located at $362.06, while for purchases over 300 dollars -and which has an additional tax of 25%-, located at $413.78. (Telam)
