Piers Morgan, British journalist and television presenter, has caused a new stir within the British monarchy. In his program Piers Morgan Uncensored, he did not keep anything quiet and revealed that the controversial concerns about the skin color of Archie, the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, would have been expressed by King Charles III and Kate Middleton, as leaked by error the Dutch version of the monarchical book “Endgame” by Omid Scobie.

The episode, broadcast this Wednesday night, has brought to light this delicate issue that already shocked public opinion in March 2021 when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that a member of royalty had had conversations about the skin tone their then-future baby would have. Although they only mentioned one person, Scobie stated in his book that there were two who expressed concern.

However, the author mentioned that he would not reveal the names because defamation laws in the United Kingdom do not allow it. Thus, he assured that he never revealed anything in the original version and that the leak in his Dutch version was a mistranslation.

Omid emphasized in an appearance on Dutch television that he has not approved any version with such data and trusted that the publisher will resolve the alleged “translation error.” But Morgan questioned Scobie’s explanation, suggesting that the mistake may have been premeditated: “That doesn’t make any sense. Because how do you mistranslate names? “Either they are there, or they are not.”

Piers, firm in his position that members of the monarchy would not make such “racist” comments until proven otherwise, argued his explosive revelation by addressing the UK public: “Frankly, if Dutch people walking through a bookstore can take it and see these names, then you, the British here, who actually pay for the British royal family, have the right to know too.”

He then proceeded to emphatically assert that the names mentioned in the Dutch translation of “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival” were “King Charles and Catherine, Princess of Wales.” In this regard, no member of the royal family has spoken publicly so far.
