The Greenland region is known to have three remaining glaciers with tongues of ice floating in the sea. The largest glacier is Nioghalvfjerdsbrae which is located at 79 degrees north latitude so it is called 79NG. This glacial layer is the focus of a new study on the effects of climate change reported in
