The Meiland family has found another boarding house in Noordwijk and intend to start working there. Martien Meiland and Erica Renkema announce over a drink in their daughter Montana’s shop that they will also take over the renovation of the guest house.
“The media brought it before it was finished,” Meiland says. “But it’s done. We bought a guest house in Noordwijk and we’re going to beautify and renovate it ourselves.” Dutch media reported a few weeks ago that the family had bought another pension.
Once the renovations are complete, the family will actually start working in the guesthouse. “We can’t cook, but we serve breakfast,” Renkema says. They no longer intend to do the laundry themselves. “But we’re really there and we work there.”
The guest house is still called Christina, but the Meiland family has chosen the name Code Rosé. They came up with this name due to the weather conditions in their hometown and their passion for wine. “Of course it always rains and blows here.”
The family has been following on the reality series since 2019 Meiland Castle. In the SBS6 programme, the family worked in a French bed & breakfast. It earned Talpa more than a million viewers per broadcast. In the first year the program also immediately won the Gouden Televizier-Ring.
