The Meiland family will move again “in time”. Not only daughter Maxime Meiland is leaving Hengelo, but Martien and Erica Meiland also have to leave now that it appears that they cannot reach an agreement with the municipality, Erica Meiland told NU.nl on Wednesday.
Martien Meiland said earlier that some problems had arisen with the zoning plan for the yard in Hengelo, where the family lives in three separate buildings. Now Erica Meiland confirms that there is a move.
“Due to problems with the municipality of Bronckhorst, we will have to leave here in due course,” she said when asked. It is not yet clear where the family will move to, but Meiland agrees that the area around Noordwijk, where the family previously lived and where daughter Montana Meiland has a shop, is in line with expectations.
On Tuesday it became clear that Maxime Meiland is going to live with her boyfriend Leroy. The couple starts looking for a home together after having shuttled between two homes for six months.
The bed and breakfast of the Meiland family in France is still for sale.
