Pavlos Geroulanos had successive meetings in the Parliament with the two gladiators of the second round in the PaSoK internal parties. The Member of Parliament for Athens A, who finished with a small difference from second to third place, did not express his support for anyone. In a statement on the floor of the Parliament, he insisted on his position that voters are not directed and have their own will, but invited everyone to the polls.
The meeting with Nikos Androulakis preceded and took place in the office of the president of PaSoK on the 1st floor. It lasted about 1 hour. The meeting with the mayor of Athens started 10 minutes earlier than scheduled and lasted about 45 minutes. Pavlos Geroulanos sent both of them a text in which political positions and proposals are presented in order to build the PaSoK of the future. In it, operating principles, timetables, operating rules are mentioned, while it is emphasized that every member of society must be utilized and “leadership that unites” and “a great political initiative for bilateral enlargement” are underlined.

“PaSoK should be victorious in the next elections”
The Member of Parliament A’ of Athens clarified that in his meeting with Androulakis – Doukas he was not made any proposal nor was any position negotiated for the future, that is, after the internal party elections. In his statement in the Parliament’s peristyle, he spoke of “an extremely interesting discussion with both contenders… We talked about the next day’s PaSoK, which we want to open and grow to be victorious in the next elections”. As he said, there was an identification in many points and things and, as Mr. Geroulanos said, both candidates recognize that PaSoK needs to fix its malfunctions, become more attractive and talk to more layers.
For his part, Mr. Doukas confirmed the good atmosphere of the meeting. As he said, he himself, in the private meeting with Mr. Geroulano, referred to his program and the need to redirect the country. “I emphasized the necessity, because there is a backdoor, every day that passes, to the extreme right and intolerance, the message of the ballot box is clear, let’s change now. It will be recorded on Sunday”, as he said. Answering a question about the debate, he said that discussions are progressing to hold it immediately.
Earlier, however, when Pavlos Geroulanos arrived at the Parliament, he received a warm welcome from his colleagues. It is characteristic that in the cafe, he met the Minister of the Interior, Theodoros Livanos, who hugged him. At the same time, when the meeting with Mr. Androulakis was finished, the member of parliament for Drama of the PASoK, Tasos Nikolaidis, hastened to greet him.

However, when the statement of Pavlos Geroulanos was expected in the peristyle, the former president of New Democracy, Antonis Samaras, appeared, surprising the journalists.
After some time he visited his office in the Parliament but refrained from making any statement despite persistent questions and left smiling.
