The Medium is one of those games that should win all the awards for its originality and the truth is that this Bloober Team production is very innovative. This first installment of a horror title for Xbox Series X, S and PC has a particular detail that many had noticed: the location where the game takes place.
If you have not enjoyed this title yet (we highly recommend it, and the community does too), The Medium takes place in the 90s in a Poland that has just emerged from its communist era with all that that implies. The developers of Bloober Team explained the reason why they chose that period and that location for their new game in a interview with Gamasutra.
The Medium and its Polish connection
The choice had to do, according to the authors of the production, with the duality that is presented throughout the game that leads us to constantly coexist with two realities that we will have to penetrate and alternate in order to advance. The idea of Poland’s advance as a country distanced from the communist atmosphere and ideals was perfect for this story.
The note of our analysis of The Medium does not admit mysteries, but if you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber you can try this great game today and determine for yourself if it is. survival horror lives up to our score. Don’t forget to tell us your opinion.
