Tavertet is a medieval town in the province of Barcelona, within the county of Osona, and that stands on a huge 200 meter cliff. In addition, it has a magnificent panoramic view of the Sau Valley and the Guilleries.
It currently preserves 48 native houses built between the 17th and 18th centuries and that form a harmonious whole that has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
What to see in Tavertet
Without a doubt you cannot miss the urban center, in the Mig street (main street of the town) you will find some of the most beautiful houses. At the end of this street, you will reach the viewpoint of the Plan del Castell with beautiful views of Montseny, Guilleries and the Sau reservoir.
He Castle Plainlocated at one end of Tavertet, is surrounded by cliffs with spectacular views of the Guilleries and the Sau reservoir.
