Al-Marsad Newspaper: The student, who got 100% in high school, revealed the reasons for her decision to stop studying at the Faculty of Medicine after two years of university enrollment.

The student explained in an interview with her to “Saudi Channel”: For me medicine was the most difficult specialty and I saw it as a challenge, I read about college, but I didn’t have enough perception, that studying in it would be so difficult.

The student added that there was no professional guidance for them, neither in the secondary phase, nor to identify their trends and the aspects required by each college.

He said, “I went on in college for two years, but then I felt I couldn’t go on while I was illustrious, and I didn’t feel happy about it, and for me a nightmare, and something heavy on my chest, and it wasn’t the same feeling I had during my high school studies, “that I was feeling very happily”.

The student stressed that she was not satisfied with the academic level she was in during her medical studies, saying: “The flame went out in me and I couldn’t, and there was great social pressure.”

The student noticed some social aspects that put pressure on her to complete her medical studies, such as: “medicine is a difficult specialty”, “my soul is an easier specialty”, emphasizing that her family is was struck by these sentences.

She concluded her meeting by referring to her family’s fear of her since completing her medical studies by saying, “You will bury yourself in graduate school”, “You won’t be able to do that”, “College is bigger than your ability.”

The student added: “I was the first to get angry and ignore it, and I tell myself that I can, but I have found that I am not.”
