TRIESTE. After the second dose of Pfizer vaccine, Martin Iurilli, 27, specializing in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, felt some reactions, but disappeared within 24 hours. «I underwent the inoculation around 14 – explains the future surgeon -. Everything was fine until two in the morning, when I woke up with chills, typical of a fever. Having taken the tachipirina, however, I fell asleep again ». So much so that the next day Martin went to work as usual, only later accusing joint and muscle pains. “But around 2 pm the next day everything suddenly vanished, I was fine, without any kind of problem.”
“Mentally – he comments – I am satisfied, because while I was a little sick I understood that on a clinical level the reaction was what was expected: the RNA of the inoculated vaccine had produced the simulated proteins of the virus and therefore my immune system was producing antibodies to the virus. So now I’m less worried about continuing my care activity, because I know I’m immunized ». Compared to some colleagues, “I had an excellent response”, adds Iurilli, who is also the representative of the doctors in the Medical Sciences Department Council, “but this depends on personal immunity”. A figure that he also recorded as a volunteer for a study by the Asugi Occupational Physician, Corrado Negro, who registered many adhesions, “to verify the effectiveness of the vaccine by measuring the number of antibodies produced”. Ongoing research predicts blood draws starting on the twentieth day after the first dose of the vaccine. –
