The Mazda 6’s electric fan also goes to Europe – News of the World

Mazda has yet to announce any plans to sell the EZ-6 outside of China, but in a new statement, citing the British A vehicle and group PR Newswireclaims that the “EZ-6 is Mazda’s first global electric vehicle”. The novelty will come to the Chinese market from the fall of this year, possibly with a delay in Europe.

Mazda currently only sells one electric car in Europe, the MX-30 compact SUV. The EZ-6 could be bigger as its size and shape (it measures 4921mm in length and has a 2900mm wheelbase) pits it against the massive Tesla Model 3. popular

Prices have not yet been released, but electric cars made in China are now subject to significant import duties in the EU. Changan-made cars are subject to a 20.8% tax.

The EZ-6 is technically unrelated to any Mazda model currently on sale, as it is based on a Changan-supplied modular platform known as the EPA.
