For more than a month, representatives of five factions have not come to the City Council meetings, said Vladimir Buryak.
The mayor of Zaporozhye, Volodymyr Buryak, appealed to the Verkhovna Rada with a request to respond to the systematic disruptions of sessions of the city council by deputies of five factions. He wrote about this on his page in Facebook Wednesday, July 26th.
According to him, today he appealed to the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov, because of the current situation in the city council.
“For more than a month, representatives of the Servant of the People, HLS, European Solidarity, New Politics and the Sharia Party have not come to meetings, and therefore do not comply with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine On the Status of Deputies of Local Councils, which obliges them to participate in plenary meetings to consider socially important issues,” – said Buriak.
The mayor recalled that the refusal of the deputies to fulfill their duties is the basis for the early termination of their powers. Therefore, Zaporozhye is waiting for a response from the Verkhovna Rada, because “now the city is held hostage by those who cannot play enough in politics.”
Earlier in Zaporozhye for the fifth time the session of the city council did not take place, since the deputies of five factions ignored the meeting for the fourth time. The session hall was attended only by deputies from the mayor’s party Unity.
And on July 14, the work of the extraordinary session of the Zaporizhzhya City Council was blocked by a group of young people… According to media reports, they represented the National Corps.
