Vaudreuil-Dorion Mayor Guy Pilon‘s blood drive will be held on Thursday, November 7 at the André-Chagnon Multisports Center. This year, the honorary presidency of the activity which can save lives will be ensured by Romain, 4 years old, the son of the Deputy Director General of the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Mélissa Côté.
Romain is a real little warrior. At the age of seven days, he was diagnosed with severe scaphocephaly, a rare condition that required emergency surgery at Sainte-Justine Hospital. This operation, marked by an incision from one ear to the other, changed his life.
During this difficult time, Romain demonstrated extraordinary strength, facing each step with courage. Thanks to the exceptional care of Sainte-Justine and a blood transfusion, he overcame this ordeal brilliantly. Today, Romain is a child full of life.
The collection will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and you can make an appointment to make a donation now. However, if you are passing by a collection site and are available to make a donation, do not hesitate to check with the team on site if they can welcome you there.
