The mayor of Oslo: – – A terrible and tragic accident

– My warmest thoughts and sympathy go to the sister who survived the terrible and tragic accident, the parents, family and friends. I think this is such an incident that affects us all, says mayor of Oslo, Marianne Borgen, to Dagbladet.

She has just received the message that the three sisters who were affected by the lightning strike in Hareid in Møre og Romsdal on Sunday, are residents of Oslo. Two of them lost their lives.

Offers help to young people

On Monday, the police went out with the names of the dead. Benedicte (18) and Victoria Myrset (12) died in the accident.

– The accident also affects us in Oslo, and I have contacted the city council leader to make sure we have an emergency preparedness ready for the family to come home. This affects an entire community, and both children and young people. Now the schools are closed, but we must make sure that an apparatus and offer is ready, if someone needs it already now, says Borgen.
