The Mayor of Oleiros considers that the measures of the clinical committee are too general and not very specific | Radio Coruña

The DOG publishes today the changes in the restrictions indicated by the clinical committee that advises the Xunta in this pandemic. Changes that suppose a slight increase in capacity in the hotel industry also in municipalities with a high incidence level such as A Coruña, Arteixo, Betanzos, Miño and Sada or Fisterra, Laxe, Malpica, Muxía, Vimianzo and Cee on the Costa da Morte. The use of the terraces passes in these councils from 50 to 75 percent, although the rest of the prohibitions remain in force. The terraces will operate from this midnight one hundred percent in councils that return to the medium level such as Oleiros, Cambre or Culleredo. The mayor of Oleiros, Ángel García Seoane supports the demand for the withdrawal of restrictions on the hotel industry.

The hospitality sector recalled yesterday that it has filed an appeal for the total repeal of the limitations before the Superior Court. He warns that in Cantabria the courts have agreed with the hoteliers and have annulled all restrictions. The mayor of Oleiros, Ángel García Seoane, questions the decisions of the clinical committee in this regard. He considers that they are too general and not very specific.

In his opinion, the request for the vaccination certificate by the hoteliers is not legal and he considers correct the decision of the Superior Court to annul the order of the Xunta in this regard.

The hoteliers warn that there are many closures in the sector after a year and a half of restrictions. They point out that many removed the workers from the ERTEs and now cannot sustain the expenses of salaries, rents, licenses and energy in the face of continuous changes. They ask for a stable legal framework that guarantees their activity.
