The mayor of Molina de Segura resigns after being vaccinated out of protocol | Radio Murcia | The news from Murcia

The mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero, has submitted her resignation after learning that the PSOE of the Region of Murcia and the twelve socialist councilors of the town released a statement in which they demanded his resignation after learning that he had been the coronavirus vaccine in breach of the vaccination protocol approved by the Ministry of Health.

In a letter addressed to his neighbors, Clavero announced his departure “from sadness” and “the dejection of having suffered an unprecedented lynching.” The former mayor has defended that she is not charged or prosecuted “for any case of corruption.” “I have not stolen, I have not prevaricated, I have not embezzled,” he said.

“I have not committed any crime, I have not lied. I have never stepped on a court. I have been vaccinated, yes. I made the mistake of getting vaccinated when they called me from my health center because they considered that being a patient at risk, and being highly exposed It was going to be the best for me, “explained the political leader.

In this sense, Clavero has insisted that “this is the maximum crime I have committed in my 43 years of life.” “And because of that crime I am abandoning this project that I have led and that I consider exciting,” said the former mayor, who thanked the “loyalty” of the people who have been by her side “to try to find measure in the face of this madness.”

“I give thanks to the people of Moline who have shown me so many expressions of support throughout these days and who have insisted that in the face of this injustice, hold on, because not everything goes in politics, and because time brings sanity to things” , has pointed out.

Clavero’s resignation comes after the PSRM-PSOE released a statement late at night in which it confirmed that the twelve socialist councilors of Molina de Segura requested the resignation of the mayor “as a sign of loyalty to the political organization, and above all, to the neighbors “.

“It is our duty, as political leaders, to assume this commitment loyally and consistently, always demonstrating the greatest diligence and transparency in our actions,” demanded the training led by Diego Conesa.

THE DIRECTORATE OF THE PSOE REQUESTED THE RESIGNATION

Precisely, the national leadership of the PSOE demanded this Friday the resignation of all public positions in the party that are vaccinated before time against Covid in breach of the vaccination protocol set by the authorities, regardless of whether they are suspended from membership.

In the case of Clavero, the PSRM-PSOE decided to provisionally suspend the mayoress of Molina de Segura (Murcia) from activism and the implementation of a manager in the Socialist Association of the municipality, due to the fact that she held the position of general secretary of the party in the locality. However, the resignation of the position corresponded to the mayor because it was she who owned the act of councilor.

The Ministry of Health established that the first to receive the vaccines against Covid-19 would be the residents of the centers for the elderly and health and social health personnel. These citizens began on December 27 to get vaccinated with the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine, and in recent days the Moderna vaccine has also been incorporated.
