THE LINE The Alcaidesa Marina Marina today hoisted its eleventh consecutive Blue Flag in an act attended by the mayor of La Línea de la Concepción, Juan Franco; the councilor for Tourism, Mercedes Atanet, and the councilor for Beaches, Rafael León, together with the director of the Port, Antonio Valbuena, who received congratulations from the municipal representatives. The hoisting act was also attended by representatives of the Civil Guard, Local Police and National Police.

The mayor highlighted “the magnificent work done” by the company and its involvement with the city, as well as being “a benchmark in job creation, image and tourism in the municipality”.
Valbuena thanked his team for collaborating to achieve the Blue Flag for another year, ratifying “the commitment of Alcaidesa Marina and the Group to bet on the environment”. In addition, he announced that the Port is working to obtain a new certification, the International Clean Marina, a global recognition specifically designed for marinas. If achieved, something that will be known in December, it would be the first Spanish navy to obtain it.
The Blue Flag awarded by the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (Adeac) rewards compliance with a series of criteria grouped into four blocks: information and environmental education, water quality, environmental management, and safety and services.
