The mayor declares a state of emergency to deal with “cholera”!

The mayor of Majdal Anjar, Said Yassin, raised the availability of the municipality, the health personnel of the town and the managers of the “Shawish” camp, during an emergency meeting held at the Municipal Palace of Majdal Anjar, in the presence of the protection teams. Yassin civilian in the village, municipal police, representatives of health and welfare agencies and refugee camp officials.

During the meeting, Yassin asked for “rigor in the question of public and personal hygiene and sterilization and to be attentive to this imminent danger, so that the city and its fields avoid this new epidemic”.

The meeting concluded that preventative and precautionary measures have been taken, including: “prevent any person or guest from entering any other camp within and outside the city and the plains of Majdal Anjar and promptly report any case suspected”.

Yassin also stressed “the need for security to control the camps and to report any suspected cases in this camp”.

He revealed that “the Ministry of Public Health and the relevant authorities will perform a shift in the camps next week”.
