The mayor of Rota, Javier Ruiz, has visited the “Bicocas” store, located on San Fernando Avenue next to the municipal auditorium. Ruiz Arana has valued the work of this association to help women. Together with the delegate for Equality and Social Services, Luisa Fernández, they met with the president of the entity, María José Peña Basallote, where she told them more about the work of Bicocas for the women of the municipality.
Since Bicocas opened its second-hand store on Avenida San Fernando number 79, there have been many people who, either benefiting from this form of recycling clothing and items in favor of sustainability or with the aim of collaborating, have passed through these facilities.
This association carries out important work in the locality, helping women who find themselves in situations of social exclusion and to whom it helps by giving them answers to the extent of their possibilities. The store is one of its ways of raising funds and also articulating assistance, which is why both Ruiz Arana and the delegate, Luisa Fernández, wanted to encourage people to visit the facilities and donate material such as clothes, toys, baby strollers and other items during opening hours. to the public from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
