In the fourth show of “The Masked Singer” (always on Saturdays, from 8:15 p.m. live on ProSieben and on Joyn) the mask of the Galax’Sis fell last Saturday evening. As previously correctly suspected by Ruth Moschner (45) and Rea Garvey (48), singer Joana Zimmer (39) was under the costume. She then revealed what was the biggest challenge for her in participating in an interview with ProSieben.
“The most difficult thing for me was that I couldn’t explain to my son, who is two years old, that I can’t go out with him,” she said there. “And he kept saying: ‘Mom, get out’ and ‘Home’. At some point he was fed up, even though Dad is there too and we all really tried.” This left the singer in a quandary, because on the one hand she enjoyed the show a lot, but she also noticed that it wasn’t “the greatest thing” for her child. But she grew from it and knows that looking back, her child would surely find the experience fun at some point.
How was it for Joana Zimmer to be recognized so quickly?
Accordingly, after the end of her “The Masked Singer” journey, she looks forward to coming home and hugging her child and her husband. “And then I say: ‘Hey, we can celebrate Easter together’,” said the 39-year-old in an interview.
In the fourth live show, Zimmer performed the songs “Toy” and “Dream On” under the Galax’Sis costume. The second appearance in particular left little doubt in the advice team that she was hiding under the mask. Her name has been mentioned frequently since the beginning of the season, and fans of the show suspected her early on. Although she was a little disappointed at first, she also saw it as a compliment. She explained: “Of course I thought it was cool, because that also shows that I have a voice, […] that you know. And that is the greatest gift a singer can have. It was a pleasure.”
