“The obligation applies to all customers aged 12 and over, who must wear the face cover at all times on STQ vessels, both inside and outside,” said the STQ. It will also be highly recommended for children 2 to 12 years old. ”

Motorists who stay in their cars, windows closed, on ferries will be exempt from wearing the mask. In this regard, the STQ recalled that “it is recommended, but not mandatory, for customers to remain in their vehicle in all STQ crossings except that of Matane-Baie-Comeau-Godbout”.
