This year it is planned to change the organization of traffic at the Third Transport Ring (TTK). In several sections of the highway, the markings will be changed – for example, on the Kiev overpass, the section from the Gagarinsky tunnel to Bolshaya Tula street and on Nizhnyaya Maslovka street.
“In order for transport to move along the Third Transport Ring faster and freer, we re-size the areas where the so-called bottlenecks are formed. Due to the narrowing of the remaining rows and the reduction of edge bands, additional lanes for movement will be organized. Changes will affect both directions of movement. As a result, traffic will become more even along the popular highway of the city, ”said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, head Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure Maxim Liksutov.
One of the narrowest sections of the ring are the Kiev overpass and Nizhnyaya Maslovka street (from Vyatka street to the turn to Poltava street). Will appear on them one additional lane. After re-layout, five rows instead of four will be available to motorists. Repair work is underway on the Kiev overpass, after they are completed, specialists will begin re-marking the road.
On the ring in the area of Testovskaya street, 2nd Krasnogvardeisky and Shmitovsky passages, on the contrary, it is necessary reduce the number of stripes. Now there are two carriageways on this section of the Third Transport Ring, which in total gives an excessive number of rows. In the place where the road narrows, a “bottleneck” is formed. Therefore, two extra rows are converted into separation buffers. The changes will affect one extra lane of four on the main carriageway of the inner side of the ring and one extra row of three on the understudy on the inside.
In addition, it will not be possible to perform an uncomfortable maneuver – to change lanes from the main course of the outer side of the ring to Kutuzovsky Prospekt when moving in the direction of the region. Traffic flows on the Dorogomilovsky bridge (the outer side of the TTK) will be separated by a buffer: in order to drive off to Kutuzovsky Prospekt when moving towards the region, drivers will need to advance in advance to take a backup of the Third Transport Ring before turning to the Moscow City business center.
The separation buffer appears and on the street Nizhny Maslovka at the intersection with Vyatskaya street and with the exit from Butyrskaya street. In addition, one of the rows in this place will turn into a short dedicated lane for public transport.
It is also planned to change the markings on sections from Vavilova Street to the Gagarinsky Tunnel (from the inside), from the Gagarinsky Tunnel to Bolshaya Tula Street. Here add one lane due to narrowing the ranks.
Lane for public transport will appear from the inside of the Third Ring Road on Nizhny Maslovka (from the exit from the tunnel from the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya alley to the Savelovskaya flyover). This will create an acceleration lane when leaving for the Savelovskaya overpass from Butyrskaya Street.
Work on re-marking Nizhny Maslovka and the section from the Gagarinsky tunnel to Bolshaya Tula has already begun.

The speed has been increased on the main part of the highway, it has remained the same on understudies.
