the Marjoram gives voice and warmth to Diebling

Each year, it occurs at least three times in churches in Moselle during the Advent period. This was the case in December 2019.

The tour of the choristers of the Marjolaine, under the direction of Christine Marchal, began on the first Sunday of Advent in the Saint-Denis church of Neunkirch in Sarreguemines, then it was the turn of the Saint-Etienne church in Woippy within the framework of Moselle Christmases then the Saint-Nicolas concert in Saint-Wendelin church in Diebling, in the company, for this last performance, of the municipal harmony of Diebling and the schoolchildren.

In 2021, the choir is planning an anniversary show, on the occasion of its fortieth anniversary. With 47 choristers, the Marjolaine is directed by two women: Christine Marchal, choir director, and Marie-Christine Lacassin, president. They are entering their tenth year in office.

In this year, due to the Covid, the choir will not be singing for Christmas. “We have the impression that we are missing a part of ourselves by taking away our passion for singing”, sadly confides Marie-Christine Lacassin, the president.

But the Marjolaine does not give up; he created a WhatsApp group where members exchange short messages of friendship or videos of songs, music or humor.
