The march of # 17A, in images: Argentine flags, car caravans and posters against the Government

The march of 17A, driven by sectors of the opposition, was massive. In different cities of the country, the call, which was born on social networks, took place on the street and ended up showing a different landscape of Buenos Aires amid the coronavirus pandemic.

From 4 p.m. on Monday, a holiday for the 170th anniversary of the death of General José de San Martín, the protesters came out with Argentine flags, in a car caravan and with posters where they expressed their rejection of different policies of the Alberto Fernández government and the extension of the quarantine due to the health crisis.

Among the main complaints appears the opposition to the judicial reform that seeks to implement the Fernández administration. Other sectors reproached that from the power there is a “run over the institutions” and, in some cases, they repudiated different cases of corruption.

The main concentration of people was in the center of Buenos Aires. The obelisk was the epicenter of the massive caravan of cars that was manifested with honking horns.

But in other places in Argentina the protest was also replicated with equal importance. Thus, dozens of protesters were shown with posters and flags in Mar del Plata, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Rosario, Formosa and San Miguel de Tucumán, among other cities.

The banner was promoted in recent days, among others, by Luis Brandoni. “Fulfilling all the protocols that must be respected, let’s go out and express our opposition to any attempt to run over the fundamental institutions of republican democracy,” said the actor, in a video that it served to summon those who wanted to participate.
