In most regions of Ukraine on Friday morning ban air warning was sounded. The authorities had expected the Russians to fire rockets. More than 60 missiles were warned.
Initially, the southeastern regions of Ukraine “turned red”, but later the alarm began to spread and in the western regions of Ukraine. An alert for the Kyiv region was also announced.
Later there were also reports of rocket attacks.
There have been explosions in Kyiv, Kharkiv and the Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukrainereported the Ukrainian media.
The head of the Kiev regional military administration Oleksiy Kuleba wrote on his Telegram channel that air defense works in the region. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported explosions in Kyiv’s Desnyansky and Dneprovsky districts.
The mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov writes that explosions are heard in the city for the second day in a row. The city is without electricity, even yesterday there was no electricity. An infrastructure facility was hit, Terekhov said, without providing further information on the damage.
It’s inside Mykolaiv region, emergency shutdowns are applied supply and the air defense system continues to function, said Vitaly Kim, head of the Nikolaev military administration.
Also, there is no power supply in Kremenchuk, Poltava region.
Ukrainians have been urged not to ignore air alerts as Russia’s strategic aviation launches missiles. Vitaly Kim, head of the regional military administration in Mykolaiv, warned on social media at 8:30 am local time: “The first rockets are already arriving. Don’t ignore the warning.” It was Kim who announced that about 60 Russian missiles would be launched. “We are expecting about 60 pieces. Some of them are already on Ukrainian territory in the northern part of the country.”
The chairman of the Zhytomyr regional organization Vitaly Bunechko also warned of the threat of a massive rocket attack.
