– Acute leukemia is acute because it proceeds rapidly. If you do not recognize it in time and do not start a massive, adequate treatment, then the end can be the saddest. And for treatment, not only the most modern drugs and methods are needed, but also special conditions. Most of our patients come to us on an emergency basis. The youngest patient is 27 years old, the oldest is 65 years old. Prior to that, only diagnostics were carried out in our hospital, then patients received referrals for treatment to Astana and Almaty. Now we are treating patients here in Aktau. Candidates for transplantation are already receiving a referral to Astana, Nazira Zhumabaykyzy explained.
