Slavi’s people and the others in the coalition liked Daniel Laurer. He is a compromise option, as he is from the narrow circle of Petkov and Vassilev, and thus their positions will be preserved. It is not excluded that such a cabinet will receive support from other parties besides “Promyanata”, ITN, BSP and DB.
The offer to the PP will be discussed at a late meeting this evening. Everything will be discussed tomorrow with the president, when a new round of consultations begins. Polls show that the MPs of the largest parliamentary force are divided. Many of them want elections.
Of course, the role of Rumen Radev will be key, as he decides to which force to hand the third mandate. And if it is not DB, probably a compromise government will not be reached.
According to “Maritsa” sources, the president also does not want elections and a temporary cabinet, which will probably have to last at least until spring and remove all the negatives of winter. Therefore, Radev would accept the request to hand over the mandate to DB.
On the other hand, ITN is ready for any compromises if the prime minister is not named Vasilev or Petkov, since their prospects of jumping the barrier to new elections do not seem great. Slavi’s people agreed to sign off on the 6-month management program, voting with their former partners on all the issues they are now burning. The most important of them is the one for KPCONPI.
