Already in April 2020, the well-informed about the entertainment industry reported US side Varietythat season 3 of “The Mandalorian” is being worked on. The writer and producer is once again Jon Favreau, whom Marvel fans might know from the “Iron Man” films. There he was not only there as a director, but also in front of the camera as Happy Hogan.
At the end of 2020, at a meeting for investors, Kathleen Kennedy, President of Lucasfilm, officially announced that season 3 would be released “at Christmas 2021”. She did not give an exact day. Since the episodes have always appeared on Fridays so far, the December 24, 2021 most likely for launch.

The end of the second season definitely left a lot of questions. Warning spoilers: Din Djarin has given Grogu – the real name of “Baby Yoda” – into the care of a famous Jedi. At the end of the second season, The Book of Boba Fett was announced for December 2021. As Disney clarified shortly afterwards, it is a spin-off. Season 3 of “The Mandalorian” will continue to be about Din Djarin.

Pedro Pascal will play the eponymous “Mandalorian” Din Djarin again. In addition, Katee Sackhoff will return as Bo-Katan. Otherwise there is hardly any information about the cast of the 3rd season of “The Mandalorian”.
