Finally the confirmation arrived: The Mandalorian will come to the cinema! The rumor has been around for a while, but now it’s official: the first acclaimed television series set in the universe of Star Wars produced for Disney+ will not continue with the fourth season, but directly with a film for the big screen.
The film will be titled The Mandalorian & Grogu and will be directed by the show’s creator Jon Favreau. Favreau will also be a producer, along with the president of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy e al chief creative officer Dave Filoni. Filming will take place during 2024; it will therefore actually be the next film by Star Wars After The Rise of Skywalkerreleased in 2019.
