Jack Miller consider Mandalika Circuit have no drawbacks. The Ducati racer called the Mandalika Circuit a beautiful MotoGP track.
Miller praised the Mandalika Circuit, which hosted the Indonesian MotoGP for the first time in 25 years last week.
Talk with CNNIndonesia.com on the sidelines of the Mandalika MotoGP, Miller said he was happy with the presence of the Mandalika Circuit in the 2022 MotoGP calendar. The Australian racer considered the Mandalika Circuit to have no shortcomings.
“There are no drawbacks, only advantages. The location is fantastic, near the beach. So this is proof that Indonesia is a beautiful country. This is a very beautiful location as a track,” said Miller.
Miller further said that the advantage of the Mandalika Circuit is not only because it has an extraordinary view, but also because of a good track design.
“The Mandalika circuit is fantastic. The design is very pleasing compared to other tracks, very refreshing. The scenery is beautiful for a circuit in Lombok,” said Miller.
“The track is still in the early stages, we have felt it in the tests [Februari]. I commend their whole work from the test till now. I am very happy to be able to race here,” continued the former Marc VdS racer.
Regarding the hot weather at the Mandalika Circuit, Miller did not really mind. The collector of three wins in MotoGP admits that he is used to the hot weather.
“No, the weather is not so bad because I’m used to the heat. Of course there are many circuits with these conditions. For example Malaysia, Thailand and it’s very humid here,” said Miller.
“Indeed, the challenge is that we have never raced on a circuit like this, the last one if I’m not mistaken is 2019. I can say that the Mandalika MotoGP is the first race with high humidity, and this is the first tropical race as well,” said Miller.
Miller had led the Mandalika MotoGP race last weekend. Unfortunately the racer with number 43 failed to maintain his position in the wet track race and finished in fourth position.
