JAKARTA, KOMPAS – Awareness of the importance of inspection human immunodeficiency virus or HIV is starting to wake up. However, HIV/AIDS management in Indonesia is still hampered by gender stigma and bias.

“For early diagnosis the most effective way is to track with VL exam (viral load/the amount of virus in the blood). Most husbands will not want to take an exam if their wife invites them, but a wife will definitely want to take an exam if her husband invites her.
