The man who shot and killed actress Lisa Banes faces one to three years in prison.

Lisa Banes has passed away at the age of 65 in New York City near Lincoln Center after being run over by a man on what is described as an electric scooter of some sort.
It was a so-called “hit and run” accident, meaning the person who ran over her walked away from the scene.
According to TMZ, the killer was sentenced Wednesday to between one and three years in prison in New York County Supreme Court.
He has been awaiting sentencing since September, when he pleaded guilty to manslaughter and left the scene of a fatal accident without reporting him to authorities.
The prosecutor asked for imprisonment from 3 to 9 years.
Several American media outlets reported in 2021 that the motorcyclist fled the scene and the actor was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital – seriously injured.
