The man who announced the preparation of the assassination attempt on Zelensky was sentenced to three years in prison

According to the materials of the court, the native of Zhytomyr on December 29, 2020 announced by phone his intention to assassinate the president, who was then in the state residence of Sinegor.

He also sent a message about the preparation of the assassination attempt by e-mail to a number of addresses, including the Security Service of Ukraine.

“I am preparing an attempt on the life of the President of Ukraine in Guta. Therefore, you are forced to act within 294 days after lunch. This is the duty of an investigator or prosecutor. In my opinion, the National Police of Ivano-Frankivsk, the SBU in Ivano-Frankovsk, the local prosecutor’s office and the local court are starting or are already understood what was happening. Either you or you. Do not be too lazy to consult with the heads of these departments. Remember the words … about reaching the matrix upon arrival from the United States. Deja-vu. Everyone watched the movie “The Matrix. Everything happens in a slightly different format. , but not to notice the obvious, working in such structures is shameful at least. It reminds football by the head of state. Responsibility is a means of pressure. Think of us as the 12th player: fans, ultras. Attention! Question: who else have I sent is this message? ” – said in the sent letter.

After that, law enforcement officers checked the convict’s statement and found out that nothing threatens Zelensky’s life.

At the trial, the attacker admitted his guilt and said that he wanted to check the president’s security with such messages.

The man was found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (public calls for terrorism) and sentenced to three years and one month in prison. This term also included the unserved part of the sentence under the previous sentence – earlier he had already been sentenced to two years conditionally with a probationary period of one year for a similar crime.
