What happens in “The Man from Toronto”?
This film brings together the world’s deadliest and most feared killer, known as “The Man in Toronto”, and Teddy, an ordinary entrepreneur without much luck, in an Airbnb. Two people with different character and principles who have to form a single team to save themselves. To achieve this, they exchange identities in order to activate a bomb that would kill hundreds of people.
The Handler, their pursuer upset that Toronto had taken her money, follows them to a food processing plant, where Teddy inadvertently pulls a lever that sends her falling into a vat of boiling water, killing her. With the problems solved, Toronto lends Teddy her precious car named Debora, without thinking what would happen next.
Teddy uses the car to look for Lori at the train station and ask her to stay with him, Lori forgives him and just when she thinks the happy ending is here, a train comes crashing down on Debora. The movie jumps a year later and we see Toronto with his partner Anne, opening the restaurant of their dreams, when Teddy shows up with Lori to give her the first installment payment for destroying Debora.
