The shooting took place on Sunday evening in the village of Volfartice. Police found the 37-year-old man was first complaining about noise from the house of a 47-year-old neighbor celebrating his birthday. According to the police, he then pulled out a legally held weapon and fired repeatedly. Despite immediate resuscitation, the summoned doctor stated death.

“We detained the shooter, who was at his place of residence at the crime scene at the time of our arrival, using coercive means – threats aimed at a firearm, but did not resist,” said police spokeswoman Ivana Baláková.

The shooter was drunk, so the police will not hear him until Monday. According to criminologists, the two families had strained relationships. Police officers have dealt with two reports in the past, which consisted of their members suspecting each other of defamation and disapproval. Both were put on the table by an administrative body.
