Enthusiastic home team took the lead from the first action, when the national team running back Michal Bock flew through the middle of the Steelers’ defense and scored an 85-yard touchdown. After a successful screen for Adam Žouželka, they subsequently increased Mamuti to 13: 0 in the second quarter.
The Steelers struggled throughout the match with the lack of harmony of the newly formed defense and unnecessary penalties, yet thanks to two successful actions at the turn of the halves, they briefly got into a one-point lead.
Brazilian quarterback Alvaro Fanini first found the unguarded Adam King in the corner of the endzone and then scored alone in a short run at the beginning of the third quarter.
Encouraged by the numerous visits, the Mammoths, however, did not allow themselves to be distracted and soon bounced back to a decisive lead. Home quarterback Michal Stoklásek took a surprise in the situation of 3 and 16 defensive Steelers and addressed the scoring veteran Zdeněk Šulák with a pass.
In the end, however, the Mammers’ defense deserved the difference points, when Tomáš Zábranský caught Fanini’s pass and recorded a key pick-six.
Stoklásek, who lost the ball on the edge of his own endzone and the Ostrava team scored, may have inadvertently contributed to the dramatization of the conclusion.
Thanks to the second touchdown of its quarterback and the subsequent successful two-point conversion, Ostrava still managed to catch up to a difference of three points, but in the end the home team defended themselves.

The alligators entered the Brno derby against Sígrs promisingly and, thanks to a touchdown by Tomáš Robíšek, led 7: 6 after the first quarter. But they did not add any more points.
