The former Pelita Jaya player said that the criticisms made by Indonesian netizens showed that Indonesian football lovers followed the development of Malaysian football. It even made Safee Sali proud.

Just to note, Safee Sali’s Instagram account @supersafee_10, was invaded by Indonesian netizens after the results obtained by Malaysia in 2022 AFF U-23 Cup. The reason is, the Young Tiger squad was eliminated in the preliminary round of Group B. Ironically, they lost to one of the weakest teams in Southeast Asia, the Laos U-23 National Team.
Indeed, Malaysia is more favored to advance to the semifinals, considering that they only meet Laos. Unfortunately, Malaysia gave up 1-2 in the first match, and 0-2 in the second match against Laos.
Safee Sali also thanked Indonesian netizens for all the comments written on his Instagram account. The 38-year-old player feels that Indonesian netizens are following developments in Malaysian football.
