BEKASI – Trainer Malaysia U-19 National TeamHasan Sazali, commenting on the results of the match against the Vietnam U-19 national team in the semifinals AFF U-19 Cup 2022. Successfully winning 3-0 to reach the final, Hasan Sazali also revealed the key to his success.
Playing at Patriot Candrabaga Stadium, Wednesday (13/7/2022), the Malaysia U-19 national team triumphed through goals scored by Adam Farhan (25′), Haiqal Haqeemi (70′), and Haykal Danish (87′). While the Vietnam U-19 national team, they had to settle for third place.
The Malaysian U-19 national team actually did not dominate in this match. However, the team nicknamed the Young Tigers appeared effective by taking advantage of mistakes made by the Vietnam U-19 national team players.
Three goals were scored. Sazali was also happy not to play because he managed to apply pragmatic tactics so that the Vietnam U-19 national team ball control game did not work.
“Thank God, so with this cooperation we managed to get the victory. So, I don’t know what else to say, happy with what we did tactically to the players, “Sazali told the media after the match, Wednesday (13/7/2022).
Sazali is satisfied that his foster children are able to apply the tactics applied. According to him, waiting for the moment of counterattack is the most appropriate way to silence a strong team like the Vietnam U-19 national team.
“I’ve seen the strength of Vietnam, we played a bit defensively, at the same time we counter-attacked, we had chances,” he explained.
The Malaysia U-19 national team is waiting for the winner between the Laos U-19 national team versus the U-19 Thailand national team. The final will be held on Friday 15 July 2022.
