Tamara and Vladimir understood each other perfectly
The show of the Leningrad TV “Musical Ring” in the mid-80s was a real breakthrough. The stars, appearing live on a stage designed like a boxing ring, not only sang, but also squabbled with critics and the public. Then the format was changed: the artists began to compete with each other. And they were evaluated by the audience by telephone voting on the air.
The host of the “Ring” Tamara Maksimova was a true pioneer of musical television. At 22, she began her career as an editor of one of the channels and there she met her future husband Vladimir Maximov. Since then, the couple have worked in tandem. All projects were created together.
Having visited the United States in the late 80s, the Maksimovs studied the local television kitchen. And soon they created their own company “Neva-TV”, which, among others, for example, organized the original program “Meeting the New Political Year”. Live from the Kremlin showed the results of the counting of votes in the elections to the State Duma. The project ended in a scandal, and the spouses were removed from the air.
In 2006, the Maksimovs moved to Cyprus, where they still live. She is 77, he is a year younger.
Their only daughter, Anastasia, became a successful opera singer, songwriter, and pop producer. She writes songs for Yulia Savicheva after she left Max Fadeev. The hits of Elena Terleeva, Lera Masskva, the Nepara group are also the fruit of her creative insights.
